Our Second Day In Beijing!! (And "Firsts for Daddy")

Off to an early start (6am) - Jada is still sleeping in our bed while we get ready to go to the medical clinic. (She sleeps in her own bed, but this morning we brought her into bed with us for the hour before we had to wake her up - occasionally we have had to wake her up due to our travel/sightseeing itinerary - she's quite a good sleeper!!)
Daddy feeding Jada breakfast for the first time!!!
(Daddy protests..."I've fed her before!!")
Jada learning to share at the medical clinic (we had a long wait for the Dr.)
Auntie Tannis and Sophie
A proud Jada - she loves to stand on her own....and especially loves the response she gets from everyone!!!
Uncle Lawrence getting a workout, playing/lifting our 20 lb Jada!!
Tug-o-war with Nika (Fei Fei)!!
Finally done at the medical clinic...a clean bill of health!!
(after 2 and a half hours of playing and waiting!!)
After visiting the Dr.spent the rest of the afternoon at the Hongqiao/Pearl Market bartering....Jada and Daddy were bombarded by all of the sales people!!
Started our morning at the SOS International medical clinic. First the nurses weighed and measured our girls, and then we had to wait for the Dr. to arrive. In the meantime the kids played in the "Baby room" and had a great time together. Then each family went in one by one to visit the Dr. According to the Dr. Jada is average in weight and overall development, but is tall for her age. She weighed in at 9.2 kg (around 20 pounds) and was 75.5 cm long. After about 2-3 hours we left the clinic and headed back to our hotel. Alison, Brad, Brent, Jada, Sophie and I went to the Hongqiao/Pearl Market and had fun bartering!!! Took a taxi back (would you believe they tried to rip us off and charge us an astronomical amount!!!...but we knew better and walked further away from the market to catch a taxi back!) and hung out in our room. Jada spent time playing with Daddy's glass case, plastic bags, my backpack, and almost anything else other than the toys we brought. She loves the books we brought, and does play with some of the toys, but prefers things like glass cases, shoes, etc.!!! Had an early dinner, bath time and off to bed by 8pm. We are gradually getting down to a routine....however we travel home in just a few days and will have to start all over again!!!! Off to see some of the Olympic sights tomorrow and maybe go to some more markets!!! There are lots of tourists here this time of year!!!
Bye for now,
Daddy, Mommy and Jada
P.S. Daddy changed his FIRST poopie diaper today (and he didn't throw up!!!! didn't even gag!!!) Whooo hoo!!!
