Our last day in Beijing has been very busy!  We went to Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden city in the late morning (after the girls had their naps).  It was beautiful, incredibly large and very crowded.  This is tourist season in Beijing.  Tour buses are everywhere!  After a late lunch at the hotel we walked to the pedestrian mall near our hotel.  It was fun to people watch and use our bartering skills once more.  It has been a very overcast day today and it is finally raining.  We have been very lucky with the weather through our entire trip.  We will be enjoying the breakfast buffet for the last time tomorrow.  We have all been explaining to the girls that they will not be able to have 16 different kinds of eggs, congee and fruit every morning at home!  Our flight leaves here at 4:20 in the afternoon tomorrow.  We will all be arriving in Vancouver at around 12:20 p.m.  We can't wait to get home!!!!!!!!!
See you all soon,
Brad, Alison & Sophie  XXXOOO
Hi Jonah - this is a picture of the Chef at our favourite restaurant at the hotel.  He has sent you something from his restaurant - he says you have to wear it when you cook Chinese food!
See you on Monday!!

Have a great flight home and thank you for sharing your China trip with us all here at home. We feel like we were right there with you at times, sharing your excitement, tears and all the wonderful smiles Sophie has shared with you. The amazing country that China is and all of its many wonders and to bring home Sophie with all those memories, I'm sure you will cherish them forever.
You all must be very excited to be coming home soon, we all can't wait to meet Sophie.
Have a safe flight home and hopefully we will get to meet our new little Mui Mui very soon,

So I might just be the first of the youngest Garneau generation to say this, but: "Oh my god she is so damned cute."
Didn't know you guys went and blogged about it, but then again I'm always kept in the dark (Jaye forwarded me the link). Love the pictures, and I hope I get to meet Sophie soon. Perhaps I shall do so around Christmas when I'm back from the big apple? I'll probably end up driving up to your neck of the woods to see everybody, and I can already imagine her first Christmas across the pond as travel filled seeing as for some reason us Garneau's have this aversion to road trips around Christmas time for some reason, but they'll all still demand to see C-man and Sophie.
If you haven't received the link to my own little blog, you can just find it by following my blogger profile.
So excited for you guys, and I'm very jealous of your adventures.

P.S. The missus cannot get enough of the new addition, she's enamored.
